Why do people attend counselling and psychotherapy?

People seek therapy to process issues that create challenges and distress in their lives. Sometimes, individuals come to address long-standing issues like anxiety or self-esteem. Everyone encounters difficult situations, and therapy offers valuable support and a safe space for increased self-awareness. Additionally, therapy provides tools to support you in modifying patterns and take positive steps toward improvement.

How long does a session last?

​

Sessions last 50 mins and it is recommended you commit to same day and hour every week.

How many session will I need?

​

The number of sessions vary for each individual. The recommendation is to attend 6 sessions initially to achieve the benefits of the process. The number of sessions will depend on the issues an individual brings to the session and what the individual would like to achieve from counselling. I believe each individual will know when their needs have been met from their counselling sessions and are aware when they are ready to finish their counselling sessions.
